​Nursery Assistant Vacancies


Due to an increase in numbers across all our sites we are looking to hire new full and part time qualified Nursery Practitioners to work in our busy nursery settings in Shrewsbury and Shawbury. 


​Qualities you must offer our settings:

  • Relevant Childcare qualification such as NVQ Level 2/3 Childcare qualification or higher
  • Recent practical nursery experience working with children from birth to 11 years of age
  • Safeguarding and Child Protection Knowledge
  • ​Experience working with children and families in the community
  • ​Providing inclusive care for children of all abilities including children with SEN
  • Willingness to develop personal practice through a range of training provided
  • ​Support management and senior leaders in their daily management of the setting


We as an employer can offer you:

  • Up to date in house Childcare training including Safeguarding and Paediatric First Aid
  • External training providers who offer Level 2,3,4 and 5 training in Childcare, Team Leading and Management courses
  • Full and part time positions available between the hours of 8am and 6pm

  • ​A contract of employment will be offered after a 3 month probationary period for suitable applicants
  • Up to 28 days holiday a year (this includes all bank holidays)

Nursery Apprenticeships

Level 2 and 3


We are currently seeking enthusiastic people to assist us in our busy nursery settings.


Main Responsibilities

  • Supporting nursery staff within the nursery rooms
  • ​Providing activities for appropriate ages
  • ​Helping to meet children's basic needs
  • ​Greeting children and parents in the morning
  • ​Developing children's learning through developmentally appropriate activities
  • Report to room leaders and managers


​Qualifications and Skills

  • Desirable Grades A-C in Maths and English
  • Enthusiastic
  • ​Friendly
  • ​Team player


Working Week

  • Must be available Monday to Friday between 8am and 6pm
  • Working week around 42.5 hours
  • ​Pay rate £3.50 for under 19's
  • Location based on nursery needs on receipt of application
